Dr Sheikh Moeen Ul Haq is a consultant specialising in Palliative Medicine. He has over 35 years of experience in Pain and symptom management in patients with advanced cancer including end of life care. During his time abroad, Dr Moeen has helped set up a state of the art cancer centre and served as its Medical Director for over two years. He currently provides specialist palliative medicine advice to patients in outpatient, inpatient and home settings.
Dr Moeen's primary aim is to provide Enhanced Supportive Care (a model of early palliative and supportive care) for patients with cancer. Palliative care will be offered whilst working in conjunction with oncologists so as to help patients live as well as possible, for as long as possible and with the best quality of life possible.
Specialist Palliative Clinic
Dr Sheikh Moeen Ul Haq offers a specialist palliative clinic at Rutherford Cancer Centres for the management of Pain and Enhanced Supportive Care for all cancer patients, at all stages of their cancer journey. The aim of offering this service is to provide longer-term support throughout your cancer journey, working alongside your cancer treatment, to enable you to live your life to the fullest. This service is available for all patients, not just those treated at the Rutherford Cancer Centres. Clinics are offered onsite at Rutherford Cancer Centre Thames Valley, or virtually, and patients can be treated by the Rutherford clinic team at any of the Rutherford Cancer Centres.
