Dr Stephen Kennedy

Biography

Dr Stephen Kennedy is an experienced Consultant Oncologist with specialist experience in neuro, sarcoma, gynaecology, SRS for brain metastases, pituitary, lymphoma and protons.

He was part of the inaugural NHS proton service in the UK at The Christie hospital for over three years treating sarcomas and a busy neuro practice. As well as working at Rutherford, he also has an NHS practice treating gynaecological cancers at Lancashire hospitals.

He completed training at The Christie Hospital in 2014 and has overseen a large number and range of cancer treatments with both radiotherapy and chemotherapy, but latterly more focused on advanced radiotherapy approaches.

Dr Stephen Kennedy enjoys the outdoors with regular hiking, skiing and yacht sailing. He likes to travel when time allows and has an interest in human health in a broader sense, wellbeing, prevention and recovery. He enjoys discussions on a broad range of matters and likes to hear patients' stories, about their interests and lives.
