Miss Lisa Pitkin – Consultant Head and Neck Surgeon

Lisa Pitkin is a Senior Consultant ENT Surgeon based in Surrey who specialises in treating diseases of the head and neck, including cancer.

Her team offer a complete diagnostic and treatment service for the many head and neck conditions including: benign and malignant thyroid disease, Parathyroid disease, diagnosis and management of head and neck cancer (including tonsil, tongue base, larynx and pharynx), voice and swallow disorder; Globus and Salivary gland problems including sialadenitis, stones and tumours.

Miss Pitkin qualified from St. Mary’s Medical School in 1994 and became a Consultant in 2008 and regularly undertakes complex head and neck cancer surgery, airway surgery and benign head and neck surgery.

Dr Ajay Mehta – Consultant Clinical Oncologist

Ajay Mehta qualified from Guy’s Hospital Medical School in 1992. He trained in Oncology at St Bartholomew’s, Hammersmith, Mount Vernon and the Royal Marsden Hospitals. He has been a Consultant in Clinical Oncology since 2004 and is currently practising at the Royal Surrey County Hospital in Guildford where he is also the Lead Clinician for Radiotherapy.

Dr Mehta has expertise in immunotherapy, targeted therapies and combination chemotherapy. Dr Mehta is also proficient in advanced radiotherapy techniques including PBT, SABR, IMRT and IGRT. He is actively involved in research and is the PI for several national and international trials.
