Mr Christopher Blick is a highly skilled consultant urologist based in Reading. He specialises in urological cancers, particularly laparoscopic and robotic renal and bladder surgery and is the UK representative at the Board of the European Association of Urology. His team has the world’s most extensive experience of robotic renal and bladder surgery having carried out over 13,000 procedures. At this event, he will be speaking about how to spot the signs of prostate cancer and the cutting-edge treatments that are now available to patients.
“I’m sorry to have to tell you, Mr Colegrove, it is cancer”. Are the words Timon heard from his specialist when he was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2018. Today, he lives his life free of cancer, thanks to his proton beam therapy treatment at Rutherford Cancer Centres. However, his treatment wasn’t readily offered to him in the first instance, and at this event, he will give his patient perspective on how he sought out the treatment that was best for him and how it gave him his life back, unblemished, and free of side effects. Find out more about Timon’s story.
