Guest speaker:

Your guest speaker will be Miss Loraine Kalra, Consultant Breast Surgeon from the Royal Victoria Infirmary, part of the Newcastle Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Miss Loraine Kalra is a highly-skilled consultant breast surgeon based in Newcastle. She qualified from King Georges Medical College in 1987, after which she obtained her masters in general surgery and Fellowship in Surgical Oncology. She also holds a Masters in Breast Oncoplastic surgery from the University of East Anglia and is a Fellow European Board of Breast Surgery (FEBS).

She has substantial experience in treating a whole range of breast conditions from breast pain to complex reconstructions for advanced breast cancer. Her main interest is obtaining the best outcomes for her patients in breast cancer and she utilizes oncoplastic and breast reconstruction surgery to maintain the breast shape and body image after breast cancer surgery.
