Home News & Events News BLOG: Bupa Health Clinics At the Rutherford

At Rutherford Cancer Centres, we know how important health is, which is why we’ve partnered with Bupa. We now offer health assessments at our Bupa Health Clinics that provide individuals with a well-rounded picture of their medical condition.

A full Bupa health check is a preventative measure that offers series of non-invasive tests to provide an overview of your health. This Bupa health screening also allows individuals to discuss any specific medical concerns with a health adviser. If you don’t get everything covered in your initial Bupa health assessment, we can organise further appointments or referrals for additional diagnostic tests or treatment.

Alongside the core Bupa health check, you’ll also receive ongoing support from Bupa with your long-term health goals in mind. If this sounds like it could benefit you, anyone is welcome to attend one of our Bupa health clinics - even those who aren’t existing members of Bupa.

Why have a Bupa Health Assessment?

Health anxiety is a genuine fear, and a visit to one of our Bupa health assessment centres may be just what you need to put your mind at ease. Whether you’re concerned about possible hereditary conditions or simply want to know what state your body is in, our Bupa health screening centres can be of assistance. Our Bupa health clinics are suitable for anyone looking to protect and improve their well-being.

Bupa health assessments involve much more than a check-up; you’re provided with all the support and motivation you need to adapt your lifestyle. You can choose between six health assessments, some of which are tailored around age and gender.

Before Your Assessment

Ahead of your assessment, you’ll be required to complete a physical/mental health questionnaire either online or via the Bupa Be.Me app. We have paper forms on offer for those who can’t access them virtually – you should arrive 15 minutes early to your appointment to complete this.

Additionally, you should ensure you drink plenty of water and avoid a heavy meal ahead of your appointment. We advise that you wear comfortable clothes in case you’re asked to do any stretches. You should always continue to take any medication you’re on, and please remember that we don’t accommodate under 18s.

During Your Assessment

You’ll receive an email before your appointment, which will detail what is to happen on the day and inform you of what you should bring. We’re able to take payment for your assessment card.

After Your Assessment

Once your assessment is complete, you’ll receive a personalised health and well-being report via the online portal. Similarly, you’ll have 12-month access to:
